Flylady.net

05-03-flylady_toon.jpgAbby mentioned that she doesn't do spring-cleaning anymore because she belongs to Flylady.net- an online personal organization site. She says that she does it in tandem with the 8 step cure, which sounds like some serious de-clutter devotion to us!

If Maxwell's cure is the Gold's gym of organization, Flylady.net is the Curves. It reads very "mom" which is not meant as a bad thing by any means- its just very specific. We think any way you clean out the clutter is a good thing.

Joining Flylady.net is free, and means daily emails with lessons, and guides to get your life (and home) in order.

One tidbit of advice? Always keep a sparkling sink, so that you wake to face cleanliness Done.

I wouldn't compare Flylady to Maxwell that way. I actually think Flylady is much more strenuous! It's true, she is very "mom", but let's face it - an organized mom is one truly organized person given all the multitasking that needs to be done.

I think Maxwell is definitely the better looking of the two.

While I mostly delete the reminders about sink-shining and where-are-my-shoes?, reading the testimonials is as good as watching reality TV.

Actually, I do the 27 Fling Boogie when I can't stand the thought of cleaning, as between projects and stray dinner napkins, there are usually 27 bits of trash somewhere about.

(But my shoes stay off my feet. My generation of Californians runs barefoot through the long grass, though it'd be bad news to find grass in my living room.)
