Guitars: Storage as Display

Playing the drums happens to be a strong hobby of ours. Luckily, our drums are stored at a rehearsal space but the few times the kick drum and stands have landed at our apartment, there's little room left to move. We definitely understand the need to store musical instruments, especially guitars (and even more so when you find yourself with six guitars). More about storing guitars as display after the jump.

When we saw this picture on a flickr group that we're a member of, we had to pass on the information to you.
This easy DIY is blogged about here and mentions all you'll need for the project. We see a lot of storage as display in the kitchen. For example, using milk glass bowls on an open shelf or cast iron pots hanging from the wall.

Love this whenever I see it, though I prefer to keep mine on a stand so that I can grab it when I want to play.

We've got 3 of my husband's bases on display/storage in our living room. It adds a nice pop of color to that corner of the room!

There is a photograph floating around of a similar rig, but with bassoons (a far more attractive instrument than the guitar, both visually and sonically, if I do say so myself). There are dozens and dozens of them lining this guys wall... it's a cool thing.
