Organizing Tip: Use Large File Tabs

062309tab-01.jpgOrganizing and filing paperwork can often be frustrating, difficult, boring, confusing, (did we mention frustrating?!). And while we'd love to say we're paperless, we're not quite there yet, so we've come up with a few ways to make the process easier on ourselves...

We've talked about straight line filing before on Apartment Therapy (which makes finding files effortless). In addition, we like to make our file tabs easy to read so we use a label maker (which oftentimes prints out long tabs). While we could abbreviate some words, we like the look of our file tabs spelled out. Unfortunately, hanging file folders come with standard 2 inch tabs (way too short for our tastes). So we're in the habit of separately purchasing 3 1/2 inch file tabs which makes file tab assembly a breeze.
