Organizing With Hooks
In The Bedroom

120909hook-01.jpgBecause we work out of our home, our laptop travels from room to room but we always seem to end up working in our bedroom (there's nice lighting and we feel most comfortable there). Our bedroom is also where our purse and laptop bags land when we return home. We also have an overnight bag for traveling to the boyfriends' house during the week. Not to mention the overnight bag that our boyfriend brings when he visits (so you can see that there's a lot of baggage in our bedroom--no pun intended.) So we've come up with a simple way to keep our bedroom organized...

120909hook-01.jpgWe found this simple looking and inexpensive hook at IKEA a few months back. We stress organizing with hooks in the bedroom because we tend to usually focus on hooks in the entryway and in the kitchen. But we find that we keep our bags and purses in the bedroom and therefore needed a solution for keeping the floor clear.

This picture uses S Hooks in an entryway closet but you can also transfer this solution to your bedroom closet (just in case you don't like to have your bags visible, but you still need a place for them to land).

Yes, why do they insist on using only the pronoun "we" even when it makes them sound like polygamists?

An old-fashioned luggage rack works too.

I just was leaving all my stuff in a pile until I heard about these "hooks" you modern folk have. How innovatilicious!

Ha - moving past the pronoun problem, I know I make enough mistakes as I blog in the early hours of the morning... I love hooks... we have hooks for everything, when we moved into our house I made a board of s-hooks in the play-room... backpacks, caps, towels, dress-up... it makes for a very quick pick-up. Otherwise behind the bedroom door we popped a bathroom towel rail and up there we hook the copious amounts of pretty little dresses that little girls seem to accumulate.

I love a good hook. Or in *our* house, *we* call them "hüks".

Tee hee ;)
