The May 07 Real Simple featured a "road test" of the best pant hangers. They covered three different kinds, including clamp-style, open bar, and clip-style. See their top picks here. This got us thinking about a more fundamental question... How many of you actually hang your pants? or do you just keep them folded? Is one way better than the other? Share your thoughts in the comments.

I used to work retail, and kept some of the pants hangers we used in the store. A couple have broken, but for the most part they've held up really well, and keep my trousers from wrinkling.

If I could I'd hang everything. Wrinkles are the worst, and just happen less when things are hung - PROPERLY!!! Nothing is scrunched in. I'm constantly editing. It's all arranged by color, too.
I use wooden hangars and clear plastic with clips only. No wire hangars and no plastic tubular hangars. Everything hangs at the same height and I can see everything I have.

I use the open style hangars. I originally bought them from a store called Storables (but they're everywhere now - Target) and am still using the same ones daily nearly 10 years later. :)
Since they were so pricey, I used to only store trousers/khakis but now I use them to store all pants. I like them cuz they're durable (metal) and easy to use.
I've tried the multiple-pants-on-one-hangar ones, as well as the clippy ones and I haven't found them to be as quick and easy to use as the open sided ones.

Here in the U.K. pants are actually what we wear underneath ie. boxer shorts, y-fronts etc. Trousers are what I hang in my wardrobe.
