A clear answer? Perusing through the April 07 Real Simple, we came across this funny ad in the back for the Shoebby. For all you shoe enthusiasts (and you know who you are), this could be your new best friend. The Shoebby is a drawer type shoe box that is made of clear plastic. Each one also comes with a handle for easy transport. If you're not the type to do the whole "tape a polaroid on the outside of the shoe box", the Shoebby system allows you to easily organize and store your shoes. Plus, the pull out drawer provides easy access as well. Does anyone have these? More info here.
container store sells a similar item that i use to house my shoes. i find that i can't avoid the polaroid on the box though unfortunately, especially when the boxes are stacked on the floor & the only light in the closet is from way overhead.
