Tools: Hang and Level

atla-022108-hangnlevel01.jpgLast week we blogged picture frames collages. We love the idea but when it comes to the actual hanging, we're not as skilled as our fellow bloggers; we're embarrassed to say it's a job we usually farm out to our handy man. So when we saw this tool in a commercial break while sitting down to watch our usual overdose of HGTV, we were intrigued.

We're there are people who could get the same results with just a ruler and a level. Not us. But, we're confident this is something we can manage: hang the picture from the tool, find the correct placement on the wall and voila! Although we hesitate to plunk down a Jackson for something we've seen advertised on TV, we're thinking it might be worth it to give us that elusive sense of accomplishment. Made by our neighbors to the north, it's available here at Linens & Things. Have you used one and how'd it work out?

I have not used that tool but I have used the wallsaver linked below for only $3.95 and just to make the online purchase seem worthwhile I picked up the roller saver and I LOVE that even more but the wallsaver totally works.

this works great. especially if you have a lot of old frames with different lengths of hanging wire or want to do a whole wall of mix and match stuff with small pieces and plates, etc. you can see exactly where everything will go. quick and painless.
