Good tip to check stock -- but there's an even better tip I learned this week. I checked stock for something online (no way I'm taking on Ikea Burbank unless I'm SURE it will be worth it!), but the website said they didn't have it. Well, when I called the Ikea "home shopping" phone number I learned that not only did they have it, but that I could make a "reservation" (1-800-434-IKEA - same day hold only) so when I got to Ikea, I went straight to the cashier, gave him my reservation number, paid, and went to pick-up to get it -- no searching, digging, schlepping through the store. Even if you want to browse, I highly recommend it if you know specific things (like these chairs) that you want!
