Before & After: Torie Jayne's Transformed Shed

061509B&A-01.jpgTorie Jayne shows us that the decorating department can extend to the often-overlooked outdoor shed. With a few simple steps, she takes a passable wood shed and makes it quite attractive...

061509B&A-02.jpgA charming blue-gray paint color instantly makes the shed lust-worthy. During the transformation process, Torie Jayne also replaced the broken window and made a custom curtain from decorative fabric. On top of that, the garden shed gets accessorized with rain boots and gardening tools that match. The look is completed with a vintage metal sign on the front door. Once the project was done, Torie Jayne felt comfortable making the spot next to the shed an outdoor dining area.

looks a little like a kid's playhouse with the accessories--not that there's anything wrong with that. Certainly a big improvement.

Wish I could afford to "accessorize" with a hundred dollar pair of boots. (In fact, I wish I could afford to wear them. Oh well.)

This project really shows how useful a can of paint, a bit of work, and some accessories can be. Inspirational!
