Neryl Walker's 50's style ranch house in Melbourne has been featured online and in magazine's like House Beautiful for its airy retro feel. The whole house is a mix of designer mid century items and flea market finds. We love the mid century patio set up perfect for al fresco dining. It's the kind of outdoor room you can put together on a budget....
Craigslist is an incredible resource for mid century finds that might not necessarily be designer stamped but still carry the simple feel of the era. And since a lot of what you'd find is metal, you can sand some of the rust off of more worn pieces and use some spraypaint to add some life back into a set.
Another option is to find pieces that you could use inside the house and move outdoors when the weather is nice. Just make sure to bring it in from the rain (or throw a tarp over it) so it doesn't rust outside.
If you have a space large enough to accommodate a table and chairs, it's a great way to force yourself to move outside and start inviting people over (advice we need to take).

WOW
It feels like it's had a long, comfortable history of friends hanging out, talking for hours, playing cards, eating easy food.
Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came.........LOL

It's fun and retro. I don't get all the hate towards the furniture. The chairs are especially cool in my opinion. Wait, scratch that! They are beyond hideous. Email me and I will see to it they are properly disposed of. ;)
Funny, as cool as all the furnishings are...I can't take my eyes of that unusual standout "brick-ish" planter. Very interesting piece.
Oh, and yes. As everybody else has said...those signs and the way you combined them together... Just Fabulous!
