@outlikealamb I have the Suzani Rio from World Market is made from recyclable polypropylene(plastic) it's a lot more comfortable than it sounds (I walk on it barefoot) it wasn't harmed at all when I left it outside during a rainy night. I'm a little concerned about the colors fading in the sun (But it was only $15 in store. Most outdoor-rugs should be made from water-resistant fabrics but you might look for jute, or polypropylene rug if you are worried about rain. Look for a rug that isn't to thick and has a loser weave so the water doesn't sit on top. Target and World market have pretty good selections of polypropylene rugs.

Check out the Pappelina rugs and runners. They are made from part recycled plastic and woven in Sweden with some terrific designs and colors.
