We saw an add for the new Ralph Lauren Metallic paint collection and we got a little thrill in our down there place for how sexy it looks.
We love a glossy wall, and leave it to Mr. Lipshitz to get it so right. There is a step-by-step video on the website to help achieve the perfect coat. We know his paints are pricey, but we must say that in our experience, they are worth it (especially if you are looking at a smallish room that doesn't need ten gallons to complete.) You will need multiple coats, and maybe some specific RL tools though, so be ready to splurge.

mmm... delicious! Although it looks like the pretty streaky things are caustics coming off the martini glasses and shaker, rather than swell things built into the paint.
Is it just me, or is the name "thatcher green" kinda weird coming from an American company? I wouldn't want to buy "regan red"...
Huminahuminahumina. I just wonder what newly discovered chemicals will be seeping into your body. But a risk well worth it, I say!
Yeah! Totally hot, sexy and yummy - I always get excited around large metallic surfaces. Nothing gets me more aroused than to press my sensitive bits up against its cold, hard surface and it gives me great pleasure to imagine the streaks and smudges (this is the yummy part!) this rendezvous would leave behind until vigorously wiped down with a sponge and strong cleaner.
Thank you again AT reminding me how f-ing sexy metallic surfaces are.
"Thatcher green" probably refers to the English job of cottage roof thatching. I'm guessing. Ralphie seems pretentious like that. ;)
Too "Logan's Run" meets powder room at The Standard Hotel-Sunset. Not for me. For high-gloss, give me rich lacquered walls or gold/silver-leaf over this any day of the week. For that matter, even foiled wallpaper... Apologies to Mr. Lipschitz.
I bought some of this--a silver, though I don't remember the name, to paint the inside drawers of my 1920s vanity. It's not quite glossy--it's more of a sheen than a shine, like a pearlescent nail polish or lipstick. It's nice and subtle.
hello i will u some thing i want to buy some hot and sexy picture please send me mail and tell me how i can buy some hot and sexy picture
My two cents worth: (first of all... I MISS LA!!!!!! former
scenic artist... moved to Tucson... may be moving back.
HIRE ME!)
I have a small home with "character" in Tucson. A tiny hallway screamed for a special treatment. Brocade wallpaper was first. Ran out. Stripped the wallpaper.
Found RL metallics at Homo Depot and the greenish shade was the perfect finish. It fairly glows. One caveat: I think
ANY medium nap roller would work. Ralph Lauren roller indeed.
HA! It is a tad tricky to work with. Plan on at least two coats. Three if you've got leftover paint. It's easy.

I bought Ralph Lauren Metallic, but wonder about the safety, because it does have lead in it. It cleans up with soap and water, so I wonder if its OK to use in a bedroom. Any help is deeply appreciated.
Thank You

Used Golden Candlestick on a wall in my guest room with the other three walls a rich bittersweet chocolate. Created a cozy, warm feel here and application was easy. Used a reg. medium nap roller as well. As for the lead factor in the paint that another poster was concerned about, don't use it then. Simple.
