Do you have a bathroom scale? We have one that measures our weight, our body fat composition, and water composition, and we like to weigh in once a week to see if all that running during the week helped or if we need to tail back on our Nutella intake.
But besides the certain negative connotations connected with scales, some friends have said they don't like scales in their bathroom because they're "ugly". So we've found five of the most minimal, unobstrusive designs out there for the bathroom, all under the jump...

I love my Phillippe Starck scale ... it's just a frosty gray color with no window or anything on it ... when you step on it the digital numbers show up through the plastic or whatever.
I keep it standing up behind my bathroom door and people always ask me what it is.

I don't think ignorance is bliss, but I don't need a scale. And, if a minimalist can do without an object, well, that's quite minimal. But, these examples are very sleek and elegant, particularly the last one.

I don't own a scale because I like to weigh myself in public places... like Restoration Hardware.

I'm with visualingual- I don't need a scale. I actually have no idea how much I weigh. I'm more concerned with how the bulges and jelly bits LOOK than how much they weigh.

Silvarga's comment made me laugh. I just use the scale at the gym because I fear I'd become scale-obsessed if I had one at home.

My parents got me a really nice oval glass one from the Sharper Image - I keep it in the laundry room since there isn't space on the bathroom floor. It's very unobtrusive and sleek.

I'll admit, I have a scale and I use it occasionally. But it's not beautiful like the last one -- I hide it in a closet and take it out only when needed.
This also fools guests into thinking I'm not as self-conscious as I really am.

I use a scale to weigh my suitcase when I am going to flying abroad.

Thanks Amazon for a good laugh: if you buy the HoMedics SC-475 Digital Bath scale, you can get War and Peace for $24.95!
And thanks also to Amazon for the reviews of that last scale (the best looking one): it stinks.
