A day like today makes us want to snuggle up in a soft, clean bed and just stay there. Maybe reading, maybe sleeping, maybe catching up on The Office. Definitely with a warm cup of coffee and an overall appreciation for the changing of the seasons.
Last week's Fall Cure assignment was to spend more time in bed, enjoying it. So we'd like to know, on average, how many hours to you spend in bed every day? We like to get a full 8 hours of beauty sleep and then another 40 minutes to read before bed, and if it's possible another 20 in the morning just waking up and enjoying it. A day like today reminds us why we spend so much energy keeping our bedrooms clean and cozy.
I like 1/2 hour before bed to read, 9 hours of beauty sleep and 1/2 hour to wake up. What do I actually get? 5 minutes to read before I fall asleep, 7 hours of sleep until my dog decides it's time to get up and the 1/2 to wake up...I take that at my desk at work.
But this morning, my blessed pup slept until 8am. I almost cried with happiness.

I make an effort to get an hour of reading in bed before I sleep. I generally sleep for about 7-8 hours and then lounge in bed for another hour before I actually get up.
I do a pretty good job of getting to bed before I pass out, but I'm not so good at leaving myself the time to lounge in bed in the morning, but I do it anyway. :)

in the months since the tv moved from the bedroom to the living room, my habits have totally changed. i can definitely find myself in bed early, sneaking in for some reading time. my sleep is long and uninterrupted by commercials for late nite poker and i give myself a long lead time in the am to stretch n snooze.

lifelong insomnia grad school = an average of 5 hours (on a good day) of actual sleep, but since bed is my favorite place, I try to spend as much time as possible in there reading and drinking tea

Nothing re-energizes, calms and renews like a good 8-9 hour snooze, not to mention everything that gets worked through and out with that dedicated dream time. Plus, a day starts better with a few moments of lawling and breathing.

I need only 5-6 hours of sleep (don't ask and I won't tell) but I do love the short time I have before passing out. I literally pass out since I run 8-9 miles 5-6 days a week.
There's nothing more fun than jumping in bed with stuff like books, magazines or my PSP/DS to cozy up to. Oh..and my TV has been disconnected for 2 years.
