Although this is art, we mean no disrespect when we say that it might do well as a playhouse for felines. All that corrugated cardboard would get a workout if you gave a cat 5 minutes with it, since it is essentially a giant scratching post:

This sculpture(Rip Curl Canyon as it's called) is about 2 years old so you can't go see it presently. But when installed, the 4000 sheets of precision-cut cardboard created an inhabitable, rolling landscape that went from the gallery's floor to its ceiling.

my cat Roger would go BONKERS loving this thing! someone has GOT to make a kitty playpen with pieces this large in it. that would be so great for city kitties who don't have room to really play in.

Rather than a playhouse for felines, it was a playhouse for college students. It was an installation in the Rice University Art Gallery in about 2006 and, in person at least, was quite amazing.
