These Creatures Wall-mounted Hanging Feeders

112508bernesedog01.jpgGot a hound, big or small, that makes a mess while eating? We're not talking about your boyfriend or husband, but your tailed, four-legged friend who pushes their bowl around the floor each mealtime (though we've been known to do that ourselves). You might find these wall-mounted hanging feeders of interest then...

112508bernesedog02.jpgBy elevating the removable stainless bowls off of the floor, you can customize the height of your feeder, so your canine friend can eat at a more comfortable dining height. Available in five different colours and with various breed designs to match (including "octopus" and "squirrel" alongside more common breeds like "golden retrievers", "chihuahuas" and "labradors").

112508bernesecat01.jpgAnd fellow feline owners, don't fret...The Creatures has a couple cat versions too, including our favourite one up above.

Cute cat-and-fish one! The dog in the first photo looks bummed out that the squirrel is eating his food. Or maybe he's bummed because the squirrel's not real.

I'm pretty bummed out that these are $200. Not surprised, but bummed.

Cute, but not $235 worth of cute (the cost for a Lab-sized feeder). Consider DIY-ing something similar unless you really want to spend that much on a dog food holder.

Oy!

That's adorable!

To be fair to my two dogs, who are different breeds, I'd have to get one of the random animals like squirrel or octopus. I'd really love it if they made one with three different sized mushrooms or a snail. I will definitely bookmark their site and hope they expand the designs more. :)

If not, the squirrel in the Pigeon turquoise would be fantastic!

these are both useful and attractive, however, since they cost between $175 to almost $250, I think I must simply continue to feed my dog with her dishes atop a wooden footstool.

If you raise the dishes does that reduce teh amount of splatter from the water bowl? We have a border collie and every time he drinks from his water dish (on the floor) there is a 12" radius circle of water splattered on the floor.

I didn't see the price. If I'm going to spend that money on a feeder, I'm getting the bent plywood double feeder.

I still love the idea. :(

Good idea, but I think my little terrier would still figure out how to lift the bowl and carry it around (a sign that he is in need of a refill).

Geez - When I was a kid the dogs were thrilled to eat from old enamel pots on the floor of the garage...

The squirrel design is fantastic. It reminds me of the squirrel that frequents my front and back yard, Jerry (yes I named him). I give him pistachios that I can't open. He loves to antagonize my dog.

Oh how I wish I had the disposable income for this piece.

Lol, bepsf. When I was a kid, my dog ate from a "repurposed" metal pot also, out in the yard. It was all dented, the kind of thing you want to put dog food in. These designs are for people. I didn't really like the cat designs. The sitting cat was weird.

what a huge waste of money- yes they are cute and fun, but seriously, where do you draw the line? if you are going to toss out 300 bucks on a dog bowl, toss it to a charity instead!

Oh heck, did I say I was buying? Or that I could afford this (or anything on this site?) I just think they're fun.

I think he looks bummed because the thing is mounted too close to the cabinet door.

You could practically buy a whole dog for that price (adopt, anyway...)

those bowls are too close together and much too small for the big dog! for any dog or cat!

Carder, thats easy to say, but you've never given anything to charity in your life.

Aw, the price bummed me out. I had my fingers crossed that it wouldn't be totally outlandish.

Oh well. Maybe I can try for a DIY version.

Has anybody considered that dogs and cats have digestive systems that are genetically designed to eat and drink from ground level. Dogs are not people. These may be cute for us, but they are not healthy for them.

I'm sure you wouldn't want to eat standing at a a table that was at the height of your chin.

I saw these at a show not too long ago. Very nice! We, however, have a real chow hound who doesn't know when to stop eating, so we invested - and I do mean INVESTED - in an automatic pet feeder called the Perfect Petfeeder. It's built like a tank and it has been a godsend. It's expensive but I wouldn't want to be without it. Also, our guy is a mutt so we wouldn't want to give him a complex with a breed specific feeder, anyway ;-)
