Wowo 1 Series Pet Feeder

atla-050108-petbowl01.jpgLove your pet? Hate their bowl? We're with you. They’re either cutesy or utilitarian and they always look like...well...bowls on the floor. The rest of our house is sleek and elegant. We'd like to extend our style to this detail as well.

atla-050108-petbowl02.jpgWowo 1 Series Pet Feeder bowls to the rescue. Sleek, sculptural and, most importantly, usable, they're designed for large and extra large dogs and come in 6 finishes: hammered aluminum, bamboo, cherry, maple, pebbled aluminium and wenge.

I love this but the price is prohibitive even for my spoiled critters. As a compromise I got one of these. Expensive, but not as bad as the above, and still modern in style.

So beautiful, but $160 is a but much for me to spend on something like that, especially since would need to buy 2 for 2 dogs!

Cute, but my dog would reach right under and pop that bowl out of place with her snout. I'm currently on the lookout for a heavy concrete bowl that she can't tip over.

So true - this has a high roll over risk, especially if dinner gets your dog excited and jumping.

Take a look at the TrendyPet ones they seem more stable. I only have 2 cats but they get VERY excited about meal time.

Still a splurge at $79, but is probably more stable than the one featured above.

Yes, $160 for a dog dish. Why not, for a $1000 dog?
(ok, you can now begin a rant back at me about rescue dogs...)

And I would be seriously surprised if rollover had not been addressed with the design.

I have too many dogs bowl from various designers and companies. One thing that keeps our Weimaraner from eating out of the same bowl day in and day out, is the ability to toss it in the dishwasher. I would not have the patience to handwash and wipe down the stand for this feeder. The bowl that wins everyday in our house is Alessi's Lupita. The insert goes right in the washer and we wash the whole thing every couple of days without worry of damage. Our 80lbs dog cannot tip it over or push it across the floor.

Also, United Pets makes very affordable, very durable and good looking bowls. We use a Pappy on the deck for water.

Hmm. My poor puppy must be feeling horribly unstylish with her stainless steel bowls...

Good Grief! $160 is way too much! I think I got my dog dish at Ikea for less than $10.

As prohibitively expensive dog bowls go, I like these ones:
http://www.petbitat.com/index_topic.php?did=29&didpath=/29

My dog just eats out of a plain bowl, which I tuck into a cupboard when she's not eating out of it.

My kitty bowls were 75 cents at Ikea. My cat Booger prefers drinking out of the toilet or shower though. Maybe I should buy him his own toilet..

They are $160 on that site for a one bowl-er, but at Oh My Dog Supplies (link below) they are charging $100 for a two bowl-er. I bought it for my pup, Alfonso, and he loves it.

Not modern - but then much easier to care for, I use old butter crocks. Heavy enough not to tip over with enthusiastic eaters like my Australian Shepherds. They pop in the dishwasher easily and don't cost much more than $10 if you watch for them in flea markets and antique stores. They also come in different sizes and colors based on your needs. I have one dog that needs a small bowl to keep her from wolfing her food and yakking it back up.

Wow, and I thought I was splurging by spending $42 on my dog's bowl:

I can't imagine this not tipping over at every feeding, by the way.
