[The Credo pillow's inspiring declarations would be a great accent in a space.]

We spotted a bunch of fun + colorful accent pillows over at CB2 with a nice price tag - $25 and under. Check out a few of our favorites after the jump...

For me, the daisy pillow is a nice CB2-type item. The type pillow is beyond lame, the graf pillow is so stupid, and the rice bag pillow would be cool is it were made by hand using a real bag.

I saw this credo pillow in my cb2 catalog yesterday...I don't know, it just seems somewhat holier-than-thou for my tastes.

I actually like the type pillow, bit I'm a helvetica lover too. Although I agree that the text could be better.
I find the others blah.

I would kind of like it if it just said "Pillow" in Helvetica and not all of those weird words.

the text pillow is drowning here! the words on it are as someone else said preachy and make the owner look like a wanker.

i like the lit 101 pillow - not keen on the name of it, but like the look of it but wouldn't buy it.

i don't really like the word trend...i don't want to read pillows, or walls, or tote bags. i don't need to be told that you 'REST' in a bedroom.

also why is a hipster pillow telling me to be 'unadorned' when it is adorned with words.

bah.

Agreed, I wish the rice bag pillow were made from actual rice bags.

in·di·vid·u·al·ist·ic
Function: noun
1 : one that pursues a markedly independent course in thought or action
2 : the central word on a pillow produced by the thousands for a chain store so everyone's apartment can have that "cool" nonconformist look. Oh, and in the world's most popular font too. ;)

oops - the noun would be individualist

This looks more like an ad than a product.

I can't take the word 'fun' seriously on that pillow. You can embody the 11 other qualities and be fun, but you cannot put this pillow on your sofa and expect me to believe you are.

I don't understand the lit pillow. Is it about books, or is it about shelves with almost no books on them? Is the prominence of the arranged V repeat supposed to suggest sex like analog watches set to 10:10? The books don't look like they would stand up at that angle without tipping horizontal on the low pile next to it. Maybe it's just a black/white graphic just this side of a literal representation of something. I don't think the vertical line down the middle helps the shelves or why they are staggered squares.

I'm not sure how people match themselves up with throw pillows for their furniture, but here are some mindless unattractive examples. The yellow one I could see, just because it "matches" something or *pop* of color (ergggh).

The text pillow seems to be a reprise of the hot, foxy, princess etc. fashions of not long ago. I once saw a girl with 'phat' plastered on everything she owned (pendant, t-shirt, belt buckle, etc) and was tempted to go up to her and say, I'm sorry, it's not working.

I want a pillow like this:

stupid
tasteless
dork
nerdy
bland...

Wait a second. Does that pillow say 'conscious'?

Dopey buzzword pillow.

Why would I put CB2's branding advertisement on my couch? That's a terrible idea. The very fact that it reads like an advertisement makes the text oxymoronic.

I'd probably be offering CB2 (or the designer) too much credit by suggesting that the irony might be the point of the design...

Now I almost want to buy it so I can laugh at it...intended or not...
