One Succulent Valentine

Inspired by Laure's Love is Simple post yesterday, we thought this floral option from Jayson Home & Garden would be a pretty cool gift--Valentine's Day or not. A cluster of echeverias are presented in a heart-shaped planter, and we're fairly certain it'll last a lot longer than any cut flower bouquet.

The Echeveria Heart is available for delivery at Jayson Home and Garden for $100.

Very sweet. I think there was a post back in December about a holiday wreath of succulents, and I really liked that too.

I think I'm inspired to work on a mini succulent garden arrangement for my porch.

Does anyone know how to care for these types of succulents? We live in NYC, have a "rosette" in cactus soil and the leaves are starting to look yellow and shriveled. I bought it at a shop without a pot. The guy told me to keep just keep the plant on a wooden tray (very pretty, in the shape of a leaf) and soak the plant overnight once every two weeks.

When it started shrivelling, I thought I should place it in dirt, ut the plant doesn't realy have roots, so it's just sitting on the dirt.

Any ideas?
