Terrariums are an ideal solution for bringing in the outdoors inside:
Theyre extremely low maintenance, with certain enclosed styles requiring only monthly maintenance. Green thumbs not required! In fact, a common piece of advice given to first time terrarium owners is neglect it!
The abundance of Southern California sunlight makes for ideal growing of many of the sunlight-hungry, terrarium compatible plants.
Terrariums are available in an assortment of sizes and styles that can be set ontop of tables, hung from ceilings, wall mounted, or even built into lighting bases.

i've had a terrarium for a few years now and i've barely ever watered it, and yet it still manages to survive and fluorish. they are truly amazing things.
The ones that look like Aarnio Eero's hanging bubble chair are great, but would be much cooler if they were available in bigger sizes. The larger of the two sizes available is only 7 inches.
We had a terrarium similar to this one when we were growing up.

Good times. Good times.
Of course by the time I was in high school, many of my friends had the hydroponic variety...
Im asking about the sprout home. Would you be able to use it as a chair to sit in?
Somebody please email me ASAP when you have information. Thanks, Chelsea
I made a terrarium for a science fair when I was in 5th grade. I'm nearly 30 now and it's still alive and kicking on my parents windowsill!
Hey Chelsea,
You'd totally fit in this as a chair...if you happen to be 10 inches tall!
If you're the size of an adult human, you might want to try here for one that you'll fit in.

Okay, this post may get me to finally do something. I too bought that "mod-tastic Terradome" during the DWR sale over a year ago, and it's still lying in my closet storage.... Part of the reason for the delay is that it's actually fairly large for my little place, and I can't figure out where to set it up.
