With this weekend's forecast of stereotypical lovely SoCal weather, it's the perfect time to step outside and
spruce up the garden. One place you might consider checking out is The Plant Stand in Costa Mesa.
Located behind The CAMP shopping center off of Bristol, the Plant Stand may come across as just another industrial concrete building. But don't let the humble facade fool you. Once inside, it's an experience you won't soon forget. For starters, the place is HUGE. The Plant stand has several gigantic warehouses of tropical and exotic plants, pots and other ceramics imported from around the world. They actually are the "secret source" to many interior designers, decorators, and landscapers.

The Plant Stand is fantastic! You're right about how they supply the big chains. I was at Home Depot and they had an incredible display of clay pots from Malaysia - all stamped with The Plant Stand price tags.
I should probably add that it's not quite behind The Camp, but down the street (Baker) - about two blocks.
jason, you are totally correct- I should clarify its really closer to Baker and Bristol.. or Baker and Randolph- but the Camp is the easiest landmark.
they also have a cute gifty shop inside that sells other "cottage-y" items, as well as a big orchid collection-
