Think outside the box! Uh, the flowerbox that is. Don't know how exactly they do it but French company Flowerbox is growing plants in tubes, on frames, and largely sideways taking plants from decor to sculpture. [via le blog d'hortense]

Have you ever seen the wall of succulents at the Target center courtyard on Santa Monica and La Brea? I can't remember the details of it, but it's a similar "sideways" effect going up the facade. Really interesting.

now that you mention it, I have seen that. I think it's amazing whenever you can use plants as sculptural elements. There's a beautiful wall at the restaurant, Bastide, that has cascading plants too. Now, how to work that into my apartment...

There are stores in Europe and one in Montreal on rue St-Denis. I plan to go get me some this weekend, I was waiting for week 8 of the cure!
