Best Garden Tips, Tricks and Inspiration

070308_garden.jpgAs we dive into the month of May and begin taking care of our outdoor spaces so that we can entertain (picnics! glowy evenings! afternoon iced tea!) we wanted to take a little glimpse back into what we were talking about last year around this time. These are some of our favorite garden related posts from a year ago for those of you who plan to do a little digging this weekend, or for those of you who just want some inspiration. plastolux, thank you for the links.

This is a area I'm just starting to delve into and inspiration is welcome, as English gardens don't tend to focus on these designs :)

Some great links here for reasonably priced containers and garden furniture. We need tiny furniture for our 8 square metre balcony. Any ideas welcome!

While exotic plants (plants not from your area) can be beautiful, some can be invasive. Please try to keep it local. Every region has splendid plants, and they were meant to be there.

I just finished making this planter box for outside my son's window. It hangs from the eaves rather than be attached to the house. It's made from a 4in. piece of PVC.
