We always like seeing unconventional uses for everyday objects. This brussel sprout wreath is a great way to bring some green into the holidays without spending a lot and without resorting to the classic tree branch wreath. If you time it right, you could probably get a meal out of it too. We've been searching high and low for some different wreath ideas, want to see what we found?

Forgo a wreath and go with an ecclectic jumble of ornaments instead.
If you have a bunch of zip ties around the house you can try your hand at this wreath from Readymade.
Use faux balls of yarn to create a crafty centerpiece (as inspired by *gasp* starbucks).
You might recognize this one from our alternative christmas color palette post, but the wreath couldn't go unmentioned. Using simple materials the wreath is modern and will last year after year!
A series of terrariums are another way to create a living wreath that will live past the holidays, though are probably better for inside a window rather than hanging on a door.

i wish i still had some fresh hedge apples.... they would make a spectacular wreath with their bright limey green. :)

i really like brussel sprouts...and i really like the way a brussel sprout wreath looks...but i think this wreath would stink in about 2 minutes (unless it is hung outdoors where it can be chilled for a long time).

why would you do that to such a delicious food?! Send the brussels sprouts over to the kitchn so we can roast em and eat 'em. Looks interesting, though.
