As a gardener, I am amused that I only ever have seen these used indoors, in higher-end decor.

Just sayin'.

Tj Maxx/Homegoods has been getting in shipments the past few weeks (at least in the West LA locations). Prices run from $49.00-$69.00. While there isn't as much variety in terms of color and design, you can usually find nice ones at a good price and since you take it right from the store, no shipping.

I love them, but every high-end interior designed home has one and then I would just look like I was jumping on the bandwagon 2 years too late.

Don't forget the bargain basement ones at Target, which at $55 could easily be spray painted glossy white if that's what you're looking for.

I just got the one desertacacia mentioned from Target for $19.99 on Clearance in West L.A... what a deal!

I have a couple of those Target stools, and they are very nice quality. They look better than they do in the photo, and they are surprisingly comfortable. AND I paid the regular price for them, darn it.

Tenderleaf, I do use garden stools outdoors, as well as indoors. They look very attractive outside, and they stay clean, unlike teak furniture.

Of those featured here, I especially like the West Elm Moroccan ones.

I bought 2 metallic garden stools a year and a half ago when they were on clearance at Ballard Designs. I saw the exact same ones for double the price on Wisteria. They're great because they're so versatile, but yes, they seem to be everywhere.

I saw these at my local Home Goods this weekend (in Florida)! The only complaint I have about theirs are the "painted" ones look cheap, the are covered in a decal and it is glossed over. They had plenty of solid colored ones though too, and those looked nice!

The West Elm stool and the Weego Home stool are identical. Why is the Weego stool $376 more expensive? No one else noticed this?

The Weego Home stool is by a company called Shine Everyday, a San Diego area company that has a line of furniture and lighting. More than likely, they used the same factory as West Elm and the design was ever so slightly modified for the WE version which clearly is a better value.

I was going to post about HomeGoods too. Lots of varieties. Same as the Wisteria ones for $49.99.

I don't mind jumping on a bandwagon if it's a good band! Style isn't about being first.

They are different! The perforations in the more expensive one are more defined and the cheaper one are almost squares. There's also a ridge around the main field of perforations on the cheaper one that seems to be absent or less evident in the more expensive one. The cheaper one is seriously glossy, the more expensive one is more satiny looking to me. The more expensive one is 2.5 inches wider in diameter and an inch taller than the cheaper one. I don't know what they're made of and hazard to guess the more expensive one has some quality of weight and material and construction than the cheaper one.

They are close enough to go for the look with the cheaper one if this is something that appeals to you. That's what knock-offs are for.

And the West Elm version has been marked down to $159. I just noticed this.

I've also been a fan of garden stools for years, and feel both tweaked and vindicated that they're showing up everywhere these days. I laughed out loud at Tenderleaf's point, as I'm not a gardener either!

CB2 has a nice one, too, called Hive. It's only $44.95. Tech issues kept me from including it.
