For most projects around the house we need at least a couple of basic tools to get the job done. In our last place we had a lot of drawers in the kitchen so we could dedicate one to tools/picture hangers/nails/etc. In our new place we need to rely on a toolbox (and to be honest, the drawer wasn't great since we still had to do a lot of digging to find what we were looking for). Below we've rounded up some of our favorite no-nonsense toolboxes to help organize those things you use most for repairs and projects around the house:

I actually found a decent looking toolbag at Sears, part of their "Evolve" tool line - couldnt find it online though. It's green and grey and looks a bit "girly" (according to the boyfriend) but are good quality from what I've heard.

Once you find a toolbox style you like, go up a size. Because you will outgrow it sooner than you think. (And this sounds like a "no sh*t" thing to say, but make sure you measure your longest level or hammer or electric drill or whatever to make sure it's going to fit!)

I use 2 big and 2 small aluminum tins from Ikea. They were more flexible for my apartment.

inherited mine from an uncle. no idea where or when he got his. I'd be more interested in what are the basic tools you need to keep is said box, whether in a tool box, or in the bottom drawer of a desk as my father did.

The one that says 'Grizzly" on it is somehow the prettiest.

Angela, I should suspect you might not be into power tools of a billion kinds, since you called their toolbox "pretty" BUT if you or the others are- Grizzly makes awesome stuff. And they will send you a huge phone book sized catalog for free off the website, they keep your address and send you new ones annually. Every tool you could imagine is in that catalog, its awesome.
