FLOR at Target

florattarget.jpg

We knew it! Soon after receiving our first shipment of FLOR carpet tiles a couple years ago, we had the sneaking suspicion that either Target or IKEA would one day release their own versions of the the popular flooring solution or partner up with FLOR themselves. And now it's actually come to fruition...we think a most obvious and natural partnership.

FLOR Rug in a Box is available in solids and stripes, for $59.99 for a box of 6 tiles, which works out to about $10/tile. The Target train of design for the masses keeps chuggin’ along. Next stop, Rashidville?

It makes me happy that attractive furnishings and home accessories are becoming more affordable and accessible. It's unjust to be punished with ugly area rugs, just for being middle class.

I hope that this partnership is successful enough that it allows Target to carry a larger selection in the future. I was very excited the first time I saw these in my local Target, only to be letdown by the color options.

I also wonder how many people miss these while rug shopping since they aren't in the actual rug section of the store. Who'd think to go to the home improvement section for these? I wonder why they don't have at least a mini-display in the section that most people would be looking.

gawd bless Target...I love them for their forward thinking...why can't all MY clients be that cool?

Has anyone tried to use FLOR over carpet as an area rug? It doesn't recommend it on their website, but just wondering if anyone tried it.

Flor tiles are fabulous. I've seen them in several places. However, based on the patterns available at Target online, I"m curious as to why they are only offering the least interesting ones....although I love the stripes. So, basically, I ditto Jermy in VA.

I would truly like to see a wider variety of Flor tiles offered. Even though Target offers better deals than many other higher end retailers, sometimes when they start selling a "brand", it seems to be drabbed down to the point of uninteresting.
