One of our favourite finds when perusing the selection at nearby Mercado this past weekend were these Seletti roll-out wooden rugs, printed to look like animal skins or aged Persian rugs....

They're available in two sizes, a 23"x36" and a larger 47"x72". The faux rug effect is amazingly realistic when laid out flat, even upon close inspection, and the smaller sized rug would make a great entry way floor covering. Contact

This is silly.
If I want a wooden mat on the floor, I want it to look like wood.
If I want something that looks like a woolen rug - I want it to be made of wool.

brilliant! i have allergies, so i have chosen not to have rugs (sad because there are so many amazing ones about there), but this would be an excellent alternative. i could also see this outdoors.

Yeah, a couple friends have remarked this idea is godsend when considering allergies and pets. They're really beautiful in person.
