Here's one for you early risers. This concept Carpet Alarm Clock from the devious minds of Sofie Collin & Gustav Lanberg at Lund University in Sweden requires you to get up and stand upon it to turn off the built-in alarm mechanism (although I'd suspect some people would just drop something ontop or train their pet to come over to turn it off in laziness), with a built-in LCD screen that illuminates with pressure. Personally, I'd love one of these in a waterproof shower/bath version, so I could keep track of time while I rub-a-dub-dub before work. [via Yanko Design]
