051509rustic-01.jpg We've shown you many home furnishing stores in Austin here at Apartment Therapy. A city of varied tastes, Austin's got stores with modern furniture, vintage furniture, global decor---you name it. We regret, however, that we haven't shown more stores that offer rustic "Texan" decor. If you've been looking for a place to find items to bring a hint of the Lone Star state to your space, we've got the place for you! More after the jump...

051509rustic-02.jpg Located off the scenic Capital of Texas Highway, Rustic Rooms has a surprising mix of big, natural wood furniture and fun accessories. We loved the dining tables with rough tops, and would love to see them paired with unusual dining chairs. Big, painted armoires and cabinets line the walls of the store and would offer interesting storage options.

051509rustic-04.jpg Fun accents to add to any home could be the textiles featured, such as pillows, napkins or placemats. If you've been searching for cute and rustic signs for your home, Rustic Rooms has a local resource that will make custom ones. Fragrant candles from a local manufacturer are sprinkled around the showroom, as well as small metal and glass accents.

051509rustic-03.jpg Some of our favorite items in the store were the recycled and handmade centerpieces made out of old propane tanks. Intricate, customizable and featuring faded colors, we could see these being used as dining table centerpieces or candleholders. We also loved the large, metal and wood frame mirrors in the store. Available in custom sizes and of almost any color, these pieces could definitely add a bit of charm to a space.
