Over the weekend, we browsed through our local Pier 1 Imports and were surprised at the number of good deals that are currently happening. First off, the Miso shelving we posted about back in January was originally $449. Now it's only $224! Another thing that caught our eye, was this Scalandia Round Dining table too. Originally it was $499, and it's now on sale for $124.75!

We also loved this Resa Extension Dining Table, which can extend to 90 inches. Originally it was $799, but now its $199.75!
As many commenters to AT have said, Pier 1 isn't known for the highest of quality, when it comes to furniture. However, at these prices, it's definitely worth a look-see in person to judge for yourself if you are in the area, or in the market for something new. The sale ends May 19, 2007.

Definitely go in person rather than ordering off their site -- I loved the Scalandia table in the photos but wasn't thrilled when I actually saw it.
I dunno why Pier 1 has a reputation for low quality, though -- their furniture is impossible to kill. We have one rattan chair that has survived 10 moves unscathed. Two wicker chests made it through seven moves before we got tired of them, and they looked just the same as they ever had. Our supposedly "protein" furniture is a lot more temperamental.
