These six mid-century Allan Gould chairs look animated, as though they are about to begin a straight-legged waltz about the room: Although the chartreuse seats are practically begging to be recovered, I love a design with this much energy

Eames-era blonde wood bookcase in a very Jetsons design: I've had our eye on this whimsical, clever little piece (see the neatly-concealed fold-out drawer) for days. The price for this piece, the likes of which I've never seen on Ebay, has risen steadily, however.

Jonathan Adler "Desmond" floor screen: Like so many of Jonathan's designs, this is retro and yet fresh. The best feature of this screen is its ability to divide a space while letting natural light in.

Nineteenth-century portrait of a Mediterranean woman: This is a rare portrait: its subject is at once steely, resolute, and palpably feminine. If we reached out, we could almost feel her warm, humid breath against our fingers.

Thanks, Molly!
