Assuming that the poster is telling the truth... this 1920's Art Deco Oriental Rug is quite unique and to our eyes, really cool. We love that the pattern seems so random and that it doesn't stay withing the border, like a modern, hip silk-screen.

Having liked the rug, I've been Googling art deco Chinese rugs... apparently having a free-flowing, asymmetrical pattern cross the border is typical of these rugs. I'm now totally fascinated.
