New Paulistano Chair from D.W.R.

04-24-dwr-chair.jpgThis new Paulistano Chair from D.W.R. ($1295) was created in Brazil (1957) by architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha. Built from necessity, the chairs were made for the Paulistano Athletic Club he was building.

Always finding the best in yesterday, D.W.R. has reintroduced the chairs. The simple construction has only one welded spot and uses almost an entire hide of leather which is semi-aniline vegetable-dyed and double sided. It ain't cheap, but it is lovely.

Those are gorgeous chairs. I want one, I can't figure out where to put it though. I'll have to create a spot:):)!!
