Blogging...Waive by Matthias Pliessnig

When we spied Matthias Pliessnig's new Waive chair, we absolutely swooned! It doesn't hurt that we're suckers for bent wood furniture either. Made from oak and steamed into shape, the Waive chair could easily pass for an art installation with its gorgeous flowing lines...and it looks comfortable to sit in!

His website shows some AMAZING talent!
I especially dig his sculpture
(actually - it's ALL SCULPTURE- just that some of it,
ya can sit on!)

(....just hope that the Chinese / Phillipines/ Far East Inc. don't figure out a way to knock-off his forms in Rataan, or Bamboo!)
