Darin Daybed

Does your home have a space dedicated to a collection of artwork? Or does the museum aesthetic just appeal to your decor senses? Now you can recreate part of ambiance of the Museum of Modern Art in New York with the very same seating used inside the MOMA's galleries; the Desiron Darin Daybed is a minimal modern seating that looks great against the wall, floating in the middle of a room, or at the foot of a bed.

The daybed can even be custom upholstered from a selection thousands of materials, for that customized look. Interested? Desiron has a West Hollywood showroom (alongside a SOHO location that AT: New York showcased), open Monday thru Saturday, where you can checkout the Darin Daybed and the rest of their catalog of home furnishings up close. And unlike MOMA, they won't chastise you for getting to close to the works or touch them.

Ahhh! Sweet...I'm shopping for a good daybed but the price of this one is too close to the "Barcelona"-styled daybed that I've seen at $1997. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and get the white display model that a local store marked down to $550....

I'm kind of digging this "museum" at home vibe. I think other venues should license their wares--imagine being able to get "McDonald's" dining furniture or "Kaiser Permanente" waiting room sectionals.

sign me up for those KP waiting room sectionals. Who wouldn't want to relive the experience of a hospital waiting room in their own home? :)
