Round Up: Chesterfield Sofas

The Barocco by Zanotta is Chesterfield modern

Grace’s post on Poltona Frau’s version, reminded us how much we love Chesterfield sofas. We know it’s not in keeping with our “small” theme this month but then again, they’re definitely cool. To keep them modern, let their commanding presence be the focus; a lot of other furniture would be competitive and fussy. Here are some of the ones we've been blogging along with a few others at various price points...

Here is another comtemporary reinterpretation, the Hall sofa by Driade.

Grace blogged Anthopologie’s Milo. We love it in this black and white print.

"arent there any nicer looking chesterfields that arent 3000?"

Traditional Chesterfields are by their nature some of the most expensive sofas made because of the workmanship and extra materials that go into the turned legs, rolled and button-tufted arms, backs and seats.

It's much cheaper to make a comparable quality sofa with straight legs, square arms and flat backs - therefore much of the price difference.
