Roundup: Chair And A Half

081908_chair01a.jpgWe first experienced the "chair and a half" years ago when we lived in Manhattan and needed to maximize our floor layout. The chair and a half was a great solution to fit in our small space while creating room for more than one.

We love the look of this perfectly sized chair that can sit one or two people. To some...extra big chair. To others...smaller then a love seat. Whatever your perspective is, check out the "chair and a half" roundup below.

You mean "than", not "then" -- I wasn't going to say anything but I've seen this mistake here before.

Never had a large enough space to take advantage of the chair and a half. But I am a big fan of the ottoman and a half.

My friend has a chair and a half and it is just a collossal waste of space. It looks like its going to eat all of the rest of the furniture in the room and it is just visually massive and heavy. Personally I'd put two smaller side/lounge chairs together and open up the visual space.

I want to get a chair and a half in my office so I can curl up and read books / make a mini library.

My biggest issue is finding one that is within my price range, with the right arm height - too high and it's not comfy enough, too low and it's hard to curl up properly.

I have a chair and a half and I hate it. It's too small for two people to sit on comfortably. Like Modfan said, it also just eats up the visual space. I can't wait until we get new furniture and I can put 2 club chairs in its place.

I've never seen these actually work in a relatively small space, like your average apartment. Two people can never actually fit (the most you get is one in the chair and one on the arm). They look great in a showroom, but most of the time, they are just too big for the space.

ah, the chofa as we like to call it in my household... not always the most stunning looking piece of furniture, but nothing beats it when having a movie night in for two :)

I love the chair that's from chiasso, but there's no listing on their website for it. Any more information?
