Sale Alert: We Heart PB On the Cheap

img39m.jpgIt's the end of summer in retail land and that means good sales.

Generally Pottery Barn loses it’s luster after a few pages of their catalog, but it’s the end of summer so we decided to mosey on over and see what’s up. A fantastic leather chair is what’s up, and we really want two for our front room. We generally like the quality with these chairs and feel at these prices that it's a really good deal.

Then in our dream-land this Chesapeake Oversized Lounger with Canopy would be on our rooftop. Does it matter that our landlord doesn’t want us climbing out there?

There are a couple other tidbits worth looking, so rummage around and poke your head in the sale bins everywhere this month because there is some good stuff hangin’ around.

Bite yer tongue! Pottery Barn NEVER loses its luster!!

Granted, ANYTHING on sale is even more "luster-ous"...

$1k for the Leather Chair - Just what I was looking for, but what's the $500 difference between this and the ones I find n CL?

Um, "new" and "used"?

I find I have to look long and hard at sale prices from this family of companies. That red slash mark over the original price shouldn't blind one to the fact that many times their sale prices are just $150-$200 less. There doesn't seem to be any real treats in the 75% off items this time. Anyone else see anything they like? My best experience was picking up clear glass Bodum rice bowls for about 75% off. I wish I had stock piled. If I want them now, I'd have to look in Canada.
