We were flipping through the Target Website and came across this living room set which looks too good to be true. The Milano Espresso and Mocha Collection has solid hardwood frames, coil spring cushions, padded sides and back and steam bent wood arms. The four piece set (the tables are considered one!) costs $800.00, which is truly unbelievable.
With the disclaimer that we have not sat on any of this stuff, from the look of the photo, this set could trick even the most discerning eye.

I just took a look at the target site and wow-- The rust and black set is gorgeous!
I've seen lots of complaints on either the Target website or Amazon.com, I can't remember which, about their other furniture products.
SETS of furniture, at any price point, are a mistake. Unless you want to look like a waiting room.
I have to side with Patrick on this one. Although, for folks on a tighter budget, I think you could do worse than this for the price-point. Alyce, if you were to do a few of the rust/black pieces, I think it would be cool to break it up with some of the inexpensive Thai import pieces I was telling you about from Buddha Vibe (on La Brea, north of Melrose).
I'm with Alex. I've seen many reviews on Target's site saying that their furniture either was missing parts or was really bad quality.
I have ordered from Target.com quite a few times. Their service is quite good (leather chair with a 12 week lead took only 9 days) and I haven't had a single problem with the quality, nor missing pieces.
With that said, you get what you pay for. Yes, if I had had 2 grand to spend on a TV armoire, I would have expected it to be solid as a rock as well as nice to look at. Since I only spent $400, I get something that is lovely, and well-made, but probably won't last me 30 years. But I don't need it to.
As it is, the reclining leather club chair, the TV armoire, the ladder bookcases, and the pair of dining chairs that I have ordered in the past 2 years serve me well and I have complete faith that they will continue to do so.
While a lot of Target's styles are certainly a bit exciting, when you look into the shipping info the price points lose a lot of their edge. The nice looking "Merlot Finish Dining Table with Tempered Glass" (Catalog # : 705594 $349.99) costs $200 to ship!
Looking deeper the above Milano loveseat in rust costs more to ship than the same in mocha (in fact, more than even the Milano sofa in mocha)! A few items can be found advertising free shipping.
