Thinking Pink: Pink Sofas

011007_thinkpink.jpg

"And last week I saw Cameron Diaz at Fred Segal, and I talked her out of buying this truly heinous angora sweater. Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed..." -Elle Woods

We're not the biggest fans of pink, but damned if we're not going to admit that we are loving these pink sofas! Pink is one of those colors that scares us: too bright, and it looks like a hair extension from the Avril Lavigne collection. Too muted, and we're sipping tea at Grandma's. Too..pink, and we're suffering from heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, and...well. You know the rest. After taking a look at these sofas, we're thinking maybe the secret to pink is using it in bold graphic textile patterns to diffuse the prissy factor...

I'm a pink kind of girl - anyone know where that lamp came from?

Props for the Elle Woods quote!!!! And that houndstooth sofa would be amazing if it weren't for those dowdy flower pillows.

I'm thinking pink is looking pretty bad ass. Now if I could only convince my husband…

I prefer pink to red 9 times out of 10, and I'm totally okay with its prissy/preppy connotation. Also, hot pink is totally rock-and-roll, and it seems like more men are embracing it.

And yes, I have a pink couch, and when its upholstery dies I will reupholster it in more pink. :D
