The Pitch:
My boyfriend's mother is an artist and I have been
lucky enough to have some of her artwork in my home. There are lot of suprising hidden details in her work so I have included some close ups of the work as well(below the fold).
The skull-topped electric tower made me wonder what it would be like to have Sue Coe as your mother-in-law.
(me, I'd love it. she's a genius. google her if you don't know the name - she does big scary political paintings.)
I also like the big headed kid under the groovy hanging lamp.

I really like these pieces! But then I've got a bronze water dish shaped like a deer with its stomach cut open--so I might be a tad biased. ;-)
Subject matter aside, I think the warm colors in the art work complement the colors of the room.
