I know, I know... it's ridiculously expensive, and its practical use is very limited. But I have to say this BCXSY See-Saw Bookshelf is quite the charmer. And before you mention price, check out how this is constructed. It seems quite feasible to disassemble an Ikea bookcase or purchase some lumber to make something similar for those limited by a budget, but unlimited in DIY moxy. Just imagine, you and your friend/roommate/spouse could have a read-a-thon challenge and "weigh" how much you've read over the summer. Bust open that Joyce, folks. [via acquire]
I hate to be mean, but then, I am mean...When I see items like this priced like this, I think "please don't cry too loud when you get knocked off for a fraction of the price..."
But I don't think these people need to worry about getting knocked off at all...

This is lost on me because I fail to see the point. Yes it's kinda whimsical, but zero on the scale of functional, I mean how many books can you load on it realistically?
