Inspiration: IKEA BJURON Planters as Wall Boxes

060308bjuron.jpgHere's a fun wall storage idea made using IKEA BJURÖN planters! As spotted on the IKEA Hacker blog, a reader mounted BJURÔN planters on the wall and painted the insides white...

We love the asymmetrical juxtapositions! The BJURÖN planters go for about $3.99 each and come in three sizes. (via IKEA Hacker)

Oh! Thanks for the great idea! I've been looking for some good shadow boxes and have been totally frustrated.

Way to "think outside the box"!

haha... sorry.

These remind me of wine boxes...that are SO hard to find right now (only higher-end wines are coming in wood boxes these days). I've been looking for a wine-box bookcase, and these just might do the trick!

I have been thinking about doing the same thing with Japanese paper boxes for awhile now but haven't come across any boxes which are either big enough or deep enough to be a good size.

I'm thinking about using this type of paper box as the structure is fairly sturdy and the texture is nice:

I'm using the one pictured to hold sundries in my bathroom right now.
