Our last apartment had a kitchenette that barely fit a small bistro-style table and two chairs. And given the size of that apartment, we not only ate at that table--it was the office, the art studio, and mail center (to name just a few things). If we could do it all over again, we might try mounting a storage system like this one in the kitchen.

The wallpaper makes my eyes hurt.

How many kitchens have spare wall space? Most that I've been in use all available walls for cabinetry, and what little is left is not conducive to this idea. Don't get me wrong, I love the concept, but I just don't think very many people will be able to utilize it.

Because here in LA, those take out menus really stack up! Real Simple is devoid of purpose, and so was this post.

I really love that. In fact, I've been planning to get one for a while. You don't have to get one that long; there are actually smaller components that you can put together in different ways. I have room on my kitchen wall for at least one mail sorter section. That's gonna be my landing strip.

Goodness, reading these comments... such scorn for a little home organization gizmo that actually made my heart sing a happy little song. I'm going to look into getting a couple of the components and arranging them into a smaller, more vertical configuration in my hallway.

I know! If it doesn't work for you fine... you don't have to trash it. I have some wall space in my kitchen, not much, but enough, and I've been looking for a solution to the tabletop clutter. Thanks for this post!

i like the concept, but i know myself too well in that the organizational stuff meant to de-clutter will, well, get cluttered.
but having said that, does anyone have experience with the PB (or other) pegboard systems?
