Lustro Full Moon and Half Moon Media Storage

atla-Fullmoon_2008.jpgAlthough my girlfriend and I have done a good job of reducing the amount of CDs we have in our house, we admittedly still have a lot of DVDs that are stored away in our closet. I don't think I'd like to display our collection, but if I had to, I'd consider these wall mounted Lustro Full Moon and Half Moon Media Storage units. The Half Moon DVD storage solution images and more info under the cut...

The Lustro Half Moon design holds 74 CDs (and 148 for the Full Moon), while the DVD version holds 56 standard DVD cases (now you can proudly display your copies of "Crossroads" and "Glitter" for all to see!).

This is the best looking CD storage I've seen in a long while (although I don't need it, our CD's are taped up in a box without their cases). It could look really cool to sort them by spine color in the white version...

We actually had that for a while, and it was a pain to remember to put the CDs away so we could read the spines. I love how it looks, but it's not the most instinctive storage.

Unless you really, really need the box and the liner notes, DVDs can easily be kept in binders with plastic pockets. Easy to flip through to find the movie you like. Why buy an extra piece of furniture when a few inches on a bookshelf will do the same job?

Lisa: I think a lot people (especially graphic designers) are fond of keeping packaging for music or movies. I've gotten rid of much of my music collection packaging, but with my DVDs, I'm a bit more hesitant to go to a streamlined storage solution since I appreciate the packaging of premium sets, Criterion collection movies, or foreign films. And from what I've seen in a few homes, some people go out of their way to display their collections.

Bad. Ass.
That's the coolest DVD storage I've seen.
