We spotted this metal pegboard storage system in the pages of the current PotteryBarn Kids catalog. PotteryBarn Kids, along with many other childrens catalogs we've seen lately, continue to be an unexpected source for more "grown up" decor solutions.
This system is part of their "Stanton Bath" collection and features magnetic canisters, wireframe baskets, and hooks. They also come in square and rectangular configurations. They show them in the bathroom to organize your kids' bath things, but =we could totally see these in a kitchen, study/craft area, or even think they'd be perfect for the garage. Available here.
will magnets stick to it?
my mom got the white wooden one for me (only $3.99!!!). i was thinking of hanging it on my wall & using it to display some of my costume jewlery as "art". it's a splash of color & instant access to my stuff. it's cheap, who cares?
anyway, any ideas where i can get some containers & hooks? pb is soooo over priced.
hey loli- yes, I believe magnets will stick to it, the canisters shown are magnetic.
MG, you might try Home Depot. Last time I checked, they had a bunch of different types of hooks and accessories for wooden peg boards- although I'm not sure if the PB kids version uses the same sized holes/spacing as normal peg board, but it's worth a looksee if you get a chance. Let us know if you find an alternate source and/or how it turns out!
These pegboards might be a little pricey too but they work out very well and they're made of metal so they can be wiped clean and magnets will stick. The company is Wall Control and they have some "Value Kits" for craft storage at www.wallcontrol.com , I hope this was helpful.
