tc studio Knife Hooks

atla041608knifehooks01.jpgEvoking memories of Fatal Attraction and bad 80's slasher flicks, these coat hooks screw into the wall for storage, and also remind guests to follow your house rules...or else! Another close-up and ordering information under the jump...

atla041608knifehooks02.jpgThese might look great in the kitchen, but not so much in the bedroom. Bouf SuperBoutique has 50 in stock at just shy of $20 each, taking about 1-2 weeks before delivery when they ship in May, so get them while you can.

i have to ask, what's with violent images in home decor, both high and low. gun lamps, knife hooks, and i just saw a kitchen knife holder in the abstract figure of a person. it's called the ex.

Are knife holes harder to spackle than screw holes? If not...

Why order of Bouf Superboutique when you can DIY. Buy half a dozen cheap steak knives and just stab them into the wall at strategic positions. If the blade is serrated, it will hold well in the wall. An advantage is you can pull them out when you are running short of knives.

I do not encourage the whole idea of violence...
This is the whole point in creative exercise...pushing the artists mind to see what it can do...and it does pretty amazing things...that is the "knife" point...

Too funny. Reminds me of the babydoll-limb coatrack I blogged yesterday at Living Small. Morbid, but very cheeky.

Isn't there enough violence in the world? This is a no no!

I am disgusted that I can't stop laughing and I keep wondering if my husband would object to having just one in our kitchen. Clearly a warning to all those who dare criticize my cooking!

I find it very interesting how clearly delineated the reaction is to these. I think both positive and negative reactions are valid (I personally would not want them in my home, but as noted above, a few people find them amusing).

I should have made this a hot or not, seeing how divisive these are! Thanks for sharing your opinions, irregardless of what you think about it.

It kinda confuses me how people seem to think that these coat hooks glorify violence! I mean, for God sakes, they're coat hooks! And, for that matter, knives themselves aren't violent; it's people who make them violent. I mean, does having knives in our kitchen constitute the veneration of violence?

I personally love them, and would so buy them if they weren't $50 a piece! (Which to me, is the real outrageous thing here)

Note: I don't mean to offend anyone... solely my opinion here.
