A friend of a friend contacted us about a renovated Craftsman on our street in Silver Lake; they wanted to know how we felt about the neighborhood, as they were pondering making a bid (unfortunately, they found out someone just put a bid on the house and it's closing today). But whomever is moving in is going to enjoy one heck of a library. Love the colours and layout, with the built-in shelving, curved windows and period details.

Wow!

That is so dreamy.... I could finally buy all those cookbooks that my boyfriend says I have no room for.

My god that is incredible! I'd give a few of my internal organs to have such a nice space to read and knit in.

I went in that house! I was looking in the neighborhood and checked out an open house. The views are to die for, but the house needs some work. There is also a great deck outside.

Nice space...but where do you sit?

You put cushions on the window seat, and it also looks as if there could be room to bring in comfy chairs.
Devastatingly gorgeous space...

hdtex -- the "shelf" on the right, and the one by the window are built-in window seats. Just add cushions.
Gorgeous space.

Did you really mean "foreclosure"? It's being sold by the bank now?

Oh my word. Gorgeous. The sheer amount of lighting, the curves, the bathroom, the hardwood flooring, the kitchen.. dream house! Now where's the ocean? :-)

Lovely house! I noticed the photos in the ad look stretched. I often see this in real estate ads - I suppose it lengthens and enlarges the room, but also misleading. This is an enviable library, but I wonder how big it really is.
