Remember when you were little and you ran right through the screen door, or just ran right into it and bounced off? Yeah, that's where this tip from shelterrific comes into play. If you stitch a little message into the screen, you and your dog are that much less likely to embarrass yourselves.

i did this twice when i was little and we were visiting friends with a house on fire island. went thru the screen and the glass on the front door; then later that afternoon, after all the blood & glass was cleaned up, i did it again but thru the screen & the glass on the back door. wish somebody had thought to do this then!

Oh Abby! A glass door--that must have been traumatizing! You must be SO careful now!

My little dog, who has tried on more than one occasion to leap through a screen door, is thanking you for blogging this great idea!!

Some dogs need larger image to warn them off in time. Craft stores sell items like fake butterflies on wires. Use anything you can poke through and twist off at doggie level.

Does this actually happen THAT often (or ever), that someone had to actually think to do this??

Sorry about your mishaps abby, but I'm thinking that you HAVE to be the only it's happened to.

Please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

Sleek, I ran through a glass door too. Got myself 100 stitches and a ride in an ambulance in the process. Abby definitely isn't the only one!
